1. In the Methods section Strains and media, the quantity of yeast nitrogen base in defined minimal medium is incorrectly given as 0.17x10^-3 kg. The correct value should be 1.70x10^-3 kg.

2. In the Methods section Measurement of the degree of ¹³C enrichment in CO₂, second paragraph, the following sentence:

After accumulation to a good signal to noise ratio, the flame ioniztion detectors were weighted with a 1.0 Hz line broadening function and Fourier transformed.

should read:

After accumulation to a good signal to noise ratio, the free induction decays were weighted with a 1.0 Hz line broadening function and Fourier transformed.

3. In Table 1, the fourth column headed q_glyc/q_meth should have the units (mol Kg^-1 per 3600 s).

4. In the legend to Table 3, the abbreviation RSP should appear as R5P.
