Cover caption:
Front cover illustration: A colony of Ralstonia solanacearum exhibiting twitching motility. A Petri dish containing a rich medium solidified with 1.6% agar was streaked with a mutant that cannot produce extracellular polysaccharide and incubated for about 36 h. Colonies of the wild-type parent are similar at this stage of development. The digital image was taken using transmitted light and the colours were enhanced during post-processing. Magnification is about 750 x. Courtesy Professor Timothy Denny, Department of PLant Pathology, University of Georgia, Athns, GA, USA. See paper by Liu et al. on pp. 3215-3229.
