Front cover illustration
A novel isolate of endophytic Muscodor albus was obtained from Guazuma ulmifolia in a dry forest in Ecuador. For the first time, M. albus has been successfully placed back into its host plant and recovered from the host as shown in the top image. The bottom plate illustrates the heavily intertwined hyphae of this fungal isolate, which allows the entire mycelium to be easily lifted from an agar plate.
